Kinsey 2 Single, not looking

Connor Moore and Trista Waltham were volatile at best from the beginning. Their initial attraction was simply lust, and when they look back on their four year relationship, neither one is sure it ever truly developed into anything beyond that. Connor was a 20 year old science prodigy (focusing on astrophysics and aerospace engineering) when he met 19 year old FIT student Trista, and it wouldn't be stepping out of line to say that the two had nothing in common aside from their mutual attraction. Connor was brilliant and driven, Trista was simply from old money with no greater ambition than to design her own line. Their on-and-off relationship was little more than sex and arguments, though when Trista found out she was pregnant three years into the relationship, they truly did try to make it work. But it was destined to end poorly, and shortly after their daughter, Sabrina Anromeda Moore, was born in October 1987, the pair officially called it quits. They were civil enough, luckily, to be able to work out a decent living arrangement; Sabrina would live with Trista in Boston (where she had decided to move in order to be close to her mother and father, who would end up helping raise the little girl) for most of the year, but would spend summers in DC with Connor (who had recently accepted a researcher job at NASA). Neither Trista nor Connor has remarried or had any other children - not out of some unconcious love for the other person so much as both are simply married to their jobs.

Despite her parents' messy past, Sabrina had a happy childhood. The Walthams were incredibly wealthy, so after Trista made the decision to move back to Boston to be near her parents, Henry and Evelyn, Sabrina was denied next to nothing. That's not to say, however, that she was spoiled - Sabrina had never cared much for material possessions, anyway, and instead took advantage of her grandparents wealth by requesting to attend a prestigious private school in the area. Sabrina showed an early affinity for the sciences, just as her father had, and made the decision early on that she wished to pursue it as a career. She grew up pursuing activities that most girls her age found unexciting and dull - such as learning Latin and Ancient Greek, learning how to play the piano, attending lectures at Harvard and MIT with Henry, learning all she could about astronomy, and visiting her father at NASA whenever the opportunity presented itself. She was not an incredibly social adolescent (something that worried Trista, though she never would have said anything, as she had been the exact opposite growing up), preferring the company of one or two close friends as opposed to dozens of acquaintances. One such close friend was Michelle Kensington, a girl from a similar privileged upbringing that she had met in high school. The pair grew close quickly and proved to be support systems for each other; Sabrina was there for Michelle when she was struggling with an eating disorder, and she likes to think they'll maintain their relationship for years to come.

When the time came to apply for colleges, Sabrina knew exactly what school she wanted to attend: Harvard University. What she wanted to study, however, was another matter entirely. It wasn't that she didn't know what general field she wanted to go into - science, naturally - so much as what facet she wanted to focus on. She spent her freshman year taking classes that ranged from molecular biophysics to aeronautics, sampling this and that and trying to find what her niche seemed to be, before finally settling on physics and astronomy midway through her sophomore year. Sabrina flourished at Harvard; she loved her classes, she loved the challenging atmosphere, and she couldn't have been happier with her decision. She had her first serious relationship there, as well - the pair began dating when she was a sophomore and he was a junior, and lasted for about a year and a half. It left her somewhat jaded and she has not been particularly interested in pursuing any serious relationships since, though she has dated a few other guys here and there.

During her senior year she started to apply to grad school, having decided she would enjoy pursuing her PhD. She was originally planning on staying at Harvard, but her grandmother's health was beginning to fail and she wanted to be back in Boston to be able to help her grandfather in caring for her. She enrolled at Boston University in their PhD program, getting her MA in physics in 2011 and deciding to pursue theoretical physics as her PhD thesis subject. Shortly after her MA was awarded, her grandmother passed away - Sabrina took the loss incredibly hard, as the two had been very close and Evelyn had been more of a mother to her than Trista had. It was particularly difficult in that Sabrina had never really experienced that kind of loss before, and she struggled over the next few months to sufficiently cope with it.

tie-ins • Her initials are the same as Sailor Pluto's human form - Setsuna Meiou, S.M.
• Her mother's name is Trista, which was Setsuna's name in the English dub.
• Both are university students studying physics.
• Sabrina's mother is a fashion designer, a career Setsuna showed some interest in in the manga.
• Both are Scorpios, and share the same birthdate.
• Sabrina's father, Connor, shares an initial with Pluto's supposed father, Chronos (the personification of time).
• Dark brown eyes, and darker skin than the other Sailor Senshi.
